With this new design it gives the iPhone a high tech appearance that it rightly deserves. Without the case the iPhone feels slippery to me because of its sleek smooth design. Having had the 2G Cozip case I believe this is a much better case. The feel of the case is the same as the 2G version, giving you confidence handling the iPhone. This case does not increase the physical size any noticeable amount, maintaining the aesthetics of the iPhone. This case offers more protection than ever. With the front cover that is now included, the front chrome is now protected.
It slips easily into your pocket and looks great. It doesn't add any weight or size to the iPhone and has a real nice feel when holding it. (Your not supposed to drop or throw you phone anyway) :-) so get over that part. Although it doesn't give extreme protection from dropping. it does protect it from everyday scratches and wear.
I was not sure about the quality for 3G, I am extremely delighted that I ordered it. This cover is by far the best cover I have found. I had one for original iPhone.
Although it is not quite as attrative as the black and silver look of the first gen it is still a sleek black look when the phone is in the case4. This is the best case for the 3G for several reasaons:1. The price is right, the only thing I don't like with the case is that it has a cute out for the Apple logo on the back which causes the phone to not sit flat on a table as it would normally but this is really not that big of a flaw. It comes with a free smudge free protector for the screen5. It does not add any Bulk2. It improves the grip of the Phone3.
The bottom piece is meant to fit with the top, but when you don't use the top, it's unfinished looking. The sides of the bottom wrap around the chrome and the result is scratched chrome from friction. Go with the Elago case - it's what the Cozip first gen case was for the old iPhone. Had this case for a month. The top piece is ugly so I didn't use it.
